What an amazingly beautiful day! All the main trails are tracked. Some of the one ways are not. Conditions are mid-winter, we had 3 snowfalls this week with another one on the way. A nice fat mole came over to check out my skis. He or she was trying to get underneath them but then decide to go back in their little hole. Fun.

Most of the trails on the lake side of TH 61 were freshly groomed and in perfect condition. I only skied a short loop above the falls inland of TH 61, but it was my understanding that most of the easy to moderate trails had been groomed as well. The conditions were the best I've seen this winter and with the sun out and mild temperatures it was a slice of heaven at Gooseberry today.

Beautiful trail groomed nicely and fresh snow. Can't get any better! Skied the Eastern Hills and stopped at the shelter briefly. Wonderful view of the hills to the north. My ski tracks were already filled in on the way back. This trail is a gem!

Beautiful day on the trails. Good classic track. We skied a 4+ mile loop on the upper side of Highway 61. A few blades of tall grass sticking through occasionally, but overall very good coverage. Light snow fell as we skied, keeping the track fresh. We plan to go back and enjoy the woods again.

The trails are nice when you get back farther away from the lake. There is just enough snow for grooming. Some trails are tracked. It was a fabulous day to be in the woods. Hikers: please be courteous and do not walk in the ski tracks.

4-6 inches on all trails. Partially packed for skiing. A few skiers have been out. Some rocks and areas of shallow snow, so rock skis are advised for now.
