Tracks in most areas were icy this morning. Not much grip. Some areas that were shaded still have some softer snow in the tracks. Some leaves but not bad. Plenty of snow cover.

By mid-afternoon, the parking lots were jammed with folks partaking the new snow and mild temps! Once out on the trails, we passed by someone only once and a while. While there were some breezy conditions and drifting in open areas, the trails are mainly in the woods or rolling over and around elevation, so the wind wasn't really a problem. The bright sunshine and warm temps felt great. Trails had seen a lot of traffic, but were still very skiable. Great trail system, very scenic and offers a lot of variety. Waxless skis were the ticket today as we encountered just about every snow condition - powder, sun-exposed wet snow, and some glazed section. Great day, very enjoyable outing!

Trail was fair to poor. My poor wax choice - don't know if I should have used red or klister - was compounded by lots of leaf or occasionally needle debris on the trail. Track also washed out occasionally. Snow varied widely from un-metamorphosed snow, to glazed, to wet. At 35 degrees both Swix violet extra and Rex violet were too cold for adequate grip. I had every one of my classic waxes with me in the car except red that might have worked.

Did the Jensen-Visitor's Center-equestrian loop this morning. Conditions were fair to good. Fair on hills and in open/exposed areas with some glazing in the tracks and a bit icy on the hills. Fair amount of leaves blown into the East-West trails in spots. Good in wooded/shaded areas. But for mid-March, I'm not complaining.

Fair to good conditions with a decent depth to most tracks, though drifting has covered the tracks here and there. As usual a fair amount of oak leaves. A fresh grooming should improve the conditions. Great day to be at this beautiful park.

Tracks vary from slightly washed out to excellent. The two biggest hills have some berms. lots of oak leaves...very windy. Despite all this, skiing was very nice. Rode multigrade blue worked well enough.

Awesome conditions today - tracks are packed down and fast, with just a few isolated leaves that don't cause any problems.

Amazing conditions! Best in my memory. Newly set trails were firm and fast. Wax was a bit slick in the sunny parts.
