2017-2018 season

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skated north of 32 Parking lot. Tough skiing on glazed over surface made the downhills almost to dangerous to ski. The good news was there was full coverage and the classic tracks were well set. With a fresh grooming it might have been terrific for skate.

Disappointed with the trails. Not recently groomed and very icy and rutted. Downhills treacherous. Even the "easy" sections were constant work to stay upright. Weather was perfect. Did soften up a bit as the morning progressed. Could have been a great day if they had been groomed. Classic tracks were great though for a double pole workout.

Trails were good. There were a few soft spots in the skate lane. All the classic tracks were in good shape. There might be a few thin spots. Old 32 parking lot was plowed.

Tracks are the best I have skied on this year. Skate lane is pristine.

Started at the Old 32 parking lot. The lot wasn't plowed but no problem for 4wd truck. The skating deck was groomed the previous day and it had set up well. The snow was a bit warmer than I had anticipated Fast wax blue provided a nice glide. The deck was firm however the pole plants working up hill were a bit soft. The trail was in very good shape for skating. Classic tracks were set on either side of the skating deck. The classic tracks looked like they were deep and I didn't notice any leaves in the tracks. Thanks to the Lakewood Ski Club for maintaining this great trail!

Lakewood received 6" of snow from yesterdays storm. We groomed the entire trail system with the PB. The trail is in good shape.

I skied from the golf course out and back to about the 15K mark on the Blue trail plus a couple of 7K looops around the Blue/Brown trails at the golf course. The conditions were pretty good considering the low snow amounts for this year. The groomers did a great job! Trail conditions were very good out on the golf course. The woods were sort of littered in spots but very skiable.

We were blessed with 3" of snow. The groomer did a nice job, and it was the best skiing of the season so far. It was great to have a nice firm track . There are a few leaves and no dirt. Classic and skate are groomed from the golf course to 5-1/4K intersection.

Started at the Old 32 parking lot and skied Northeast. Firm but undulating skate deck. Occasional stubble, occasional pole plants that punch through the upper crust. Pretty decent skate conditions, no classic track set.
