Clear blue skies, sunshine on my shoulders, glistening snow, beautifully groomed trails and firm tracks. Sounds idyllic? It was. Another day of great strides in skiers paradise. Keep on skiing and count to zen.

Complete trail Piston Bully groomed. Third day in a row with the PB. Trail compressing nicely. With the cold temps Friday night. Conditions Saturday should be excellent plus.

On the snow at noon: 14 degrees. Off the snow at 4:00: 21 degrees. It was snowing the whole time, and the classic tracks were cut deep. Even with the fresh snow the track was great.

Definitely worth the drive from Milwaukee. I skied classic and the tracks were mostly excellent. The snowpack sank under my weight every now and again, which added some balance work. The glide was limited by the cold, fresh snow (started at -2), but the kick was bomb proof. Love skiing this gem and the conditions were superb.

Complete trail was Piston Bully groomed today. Grooming was completed at sunset. Maybe one skate track on 1/4 of the trail. Trail is firming up nicely and should be excellent tomorrow.

PB spent 8 hours on the trail system today. Groomed in 3" of new snow over a skied in base. Was able to widen the trail and set double track in more areas. Drifting at golf course.
