Afternoon
Secondhand
The trails are currently too treacherous to ski on safely thanks to all of the rain received 10 days ago. However, per my observation from the parking lot and that of a regular marsh hiker, all of the trails appear to be covered with a hard crust and ice base. This will provide a base for the next snow accumulation.

Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Enjoyed skiing all loops using skate skis and backcountry classic skis. Snow cover remains even after Saturday's warmth. Be cautious Sunday after freezing temperatures Saturday night.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Lots of snow at Greenbush: 4-5 inches fell Tuesday, then another two last night. All trails groomed. Still soft in places and the surface is uneven, but I would rate the skating good. I used B skis but saw no rocks. No classic tracks yet. Scenery spectacular as every branch and twig was coated white.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Trails were all groomed today for skating, base was a little weak to set tracks. Would be best to use B skis or rock skis at this point. Woods are beautiful with the fresh snow.

[ Trails Open: All ]
Greenbush received 4 inches New Year's Eve and another 1-2 yesterday. Trails have been groomed for skating, but not enough snow for classic tracks. Skiing is good with some thin spots, as expected. The Northern Kettles are painted and absolutely beautiful right now. I classic skied the snow mobile trails near Greenbush and they were a delight. Hopefully, this is the start of more great skiing ahead!

Not groomed as of 1:30. Skiable but rough, B skis. Did a brown and purple. Someone drove a vehicle on the first part of the brown loop, tire tracks down to gravel base. Woods were pretty and it felt good to be back out on the sticks.
