No recent grooming. Lots of snowshoe tracks on entire width of trail. Nice and compact surface, snow a little slow due to warm temps (30 degrees) and slushy wet snow showers. I also skied in a set of Fischer twin skins which could have affected my glide today. Woods were beautiful, saw lots of deer and rabbit sign and flushed a grouse.

Attempted to backcountry ski (wife in snowshoes) the Wolf Bay Trail today. Trailhead open for 50 yards, then unused for at least the last 2 weeks. Open water surrounding the spillway/dam. Lake ice not safe to get around to the trail and continue.

Tons of snow. 2' of snow I measured multiple times along the side of the trail. Skate deck had about 1" of new snow and was a little soft and slow. Overall trails were perfectly smooth with the thick base. Classic tracks were faster. Trees were beautiful with hanging snow. Almost 20 cars in the south lot and about 5 in the east lot so others enjoying the trails as well. Warmed up at the ski den over hot chocolate and then did some snowshoeing on the northern snowshoe trails which are even more beautiful.

Beautiful tracks set and bright sunshine on snow laden trees. Skied Love Grouse and Nine Pine. Planned on skiing at least through Blue Ox also but the wicked wind of the west stopped me as I started on it through the clearing from Mine Pine. I've got to do these trails when it's warmer than 1 degree sometime. Tracks were all great but occasionally some of that aforementioned wind had shaken some fresh snow off treetops onto them. Really beautiful ski with no one out there until I finished at the East parking lot.

Camp Loop, Lonesome Grouse and Nine Pine loops are in very good condition. Classic tracks good throughout except some flattening on sharp curves. Skate deck looked good. Conditions were fast and weather very good.
