Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
New tracks were set on all trails in Drummond today. Two and half inches of new fluff were mixed with the crusty old snow and extensively scarified to take out the bumps in the trails. Since the base is only a couple of inches thick, a few places still have lumps and in the pines there is still some debris that didn't mix completely. In most places the tracks are well-formed. The Boulevard continues to have the best snow and tracks.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All the Drummond Ski Trails were tracked today. Just enough new snow fell to allow compacting and track setting today. Thanks to Jesse and Jim for their New Year's government shutdown volunteer grooming and to the Town of Drummond for plowing.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Jesse and I rolled everything and the Town of Drummond plowed the parking lot. There was a lot of crashing through bent-over branches, laden with snow, but all trails are open and rolled. No tracks yet and there are some rutted spots (from last summer's storms and cleanup) that need more snow to fill them.

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Six to eight inches of snow has (finally) fallen overnight. The parking lot is not plowed due to the US Government shutdown.
Grooming plan: I will roll the trails today and tomorrow. Any grooming during the shutdown will be limited and done on a volunteer basis. Since this is the first real snowfall of the season, there will most likely not be enough to set tracks once it is compacted.
