New tracks were set today on the Drummond Ski Trails. Dale rolled the 8" (at least) of new snow and then set tracks. The tracks seemed soft, but held up from the several skiers that were trying them. We have had so much snow recently that the base and tracks have stayed softer than usual.

New tracks were set today. Two dumps of snow in a week, both 10-12" each have made the best skiing conditions of the year. Working the new snow in and making a firm base was a real challenge. Tracks may be a bit soft until they set up for a few days. It is amazing how many twigs and leaves came down with this latest snowfall. Thanks to Dale for rolling the deep snow and Jim for setting tracks this time.

Skied every trail. Tracks were perfect. I'm only able to ski this about once a year, and always enjoy this "old school" trail.

New tracks were set today. Ten inches of new snow, below zero temperatures and a clear sky made for good grooming. There are several spindly trees hanging into the trail after the heavy snowfall. Some of those 1 1/2" diameter trees are ten feet off the trail, but the heavy snow bends low and into your face. Watch out for them. Otherwise, skiing should be great.

Cold start but good skiing, skied the Boulevard and Jackrabbit loop, first time on old tracks and second lap just behind the groomer (thanks for grooming!). Trails are in good condition, and nicely tracked.
