Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Reworked the skate lane with two passes, compacting the loose powder and combing fresh corduroy. Left the tracks alone as they were well shaped and solid with a dusting of new snow. Conditions for classic and skating should be really nice before noon on Monday when the heat returns. Sunrise at 6:39AM. Time enough for a quick ski before work?

About 6 inches of new snow, trail was groomed Friday and Saturday and is in wonderful condition! The track was great, very clean, deep, with a few thin spots under the pines and mosaic ice pieces occasionally on the bottom. Temp was 18 degrees and swix V30 had a bomber kick. Striding was simply wonderful, fast track, blue skies, and snow flocked trees - does not get any better than this. The skating deck was smooth, clean, and a little soft. This trail not only survived the big thaw, but is in mid winter conditions thanks to the groomers.

Very good mid winter conditions. Skate lane is a bit soft in spots and there are a few short sections where there is ice in the bottom of the tracks. Overall kick and glide were fast and fun with blue extra. This morning's excellent grooming of the 2" overnight snowfall is really appreciated!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Overall fair conditions. Groomed about 3" of new snow. The old base was remarkably well preserved though it was thin to gone in a few spots so track setting was intermittent. We plan to groom again Saturday morning, anticipating a bit more fresh stuff to arrive tonight.

Morning
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Yesterday's grooming made a huge improvement for both the classic tracks and the skate lane. Still some debris in a few stretches of dense conifers but mostly the corduroy is crisp and firm and the tracks are solid and fast. Special violet provided confident kick and glorious glide. Early morning will probably be the best time to ski for this next warm spell.

Striding conditions are fair, at best due to long stretches of wind blown debris in the tracks. The skate lane is relatively clean but would be best in the morning or late evening when temps are cooler. Despite less than ideal snow conditions everyone, including Alvin, the dog, appeared to be enjoying the spring skiing.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Refreshed the skate lane and reset tracks early this morning. Other than the occasional smattering of oak leaves/pine debris the skiing should be quite enjoyable.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed about 2" of sugary snow including a bit of fresh powder on top. Everything flowed well with fresh corduroy in the skate lane and crisply defined tracks. With luck that weird snow mix will set up well in the cooler temps overnight.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Early morning grooming produced a very nice surface for both skate and classic. Expect some drifting in open areas.

A perfect blue day - blue skies, swix blue for kick, and rex blue for tips and tails. The new snow and excellent grooming made this trail awesome! Temp was 16 degrees. The classical track was wonderful, full depth, great glide, with a few pesky oak leaves. The track was wind blown near Mud Creek Bridge, but not bad. The skating deck vastly improved with all the footprints and ski ruts gone. Kudos to the groomers. If you have not skied this trail, you should, it is a hidden gem.
