Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
As always, the trail is open but grooming for this season has ended. The recent dump of more than 18" of wind blown powder would be a grooming challenge beyond what we can justify given the short time it would last. Still, the good old fashioned backwoods adventure beckons. Wider skis and big pole baskets are recommended for setting your own skied-in tracks.

Soft snow with a lightly iced topping. Decent speed with good pole plants. Small amounts of litter and one area of no snow by Mud Creek bridge.I'm just happy to be skiing in mid April. Very nice ski.

After reading the groomer's report from yesterday, I decided to check out the Three Eagle trail for the first time this afternoon. I was not disappointed. I started at the north end and skied south almost to the south end but not quite. I turned around after 6.5 kilometers. The skate deck was a bit soft in most places and somewhat icy. Conditions were best in those areas not directly exposed to the sun. However, they were few and far between. Overall, I would say conditions were good. Conditions were actually excellent when you factor in that this is late season skiing, conditions were pretty darn good. Again, I was not disappointed.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Mixed, compacted and combed about 2" of yesterday's new snow. Also set new tracks. Generally we have a 18" base but some sun exposed areas are getting quite thin. Coverage is still good throughout.

Beautiful afternoon ski. Fresh snow not yet packed/groomed. The classic tracks had been skied in and were in good shape. A little drifting in open areas due to high winds but the vast majority of the trail was quiet in the trees. Skate deck was firm despite the 3" of light snow on top, made for a great afternoon trip.

Tracks are solid and the skate lane appeared to be firm also. Found an occasional soft pole plant but most were good. Overall very enjoyable spring skiing.

Excellent conditions with full depth classical track, firm pole plants, and no debris in the track. Amazing mid winter conditions in April! Thanks to Tom for grooming!

The trail was just groomed. I followed the classic trail. Medium speed and good pole plants. What a great ride for April. It was like a Christmas present that they were still grooming. Major props to the groomer. I had a great time on the trail.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Rolled, combed and set track in 8-10" of powder. Conditions should firm up a bit overnight but it will still be quite soft. Classic might be most enjoyable. The skate lane is soft and there are a few snowballs that fell off the back of the roller. Still, the trail should be skiable. Fun to get in some April skiing!
