Really nice skiing, can use good skis. A couple of places where you might pay attention to some slim snow areas but so much fun after such a long hiatus - It's so good we are holding the Snowflake/Ingalami 11k there on Sunday 18th.

Very nice conditions for skate skiing at Baker today. There's good snow coverage everywhere and the few bad spots can be easily avoided. I did every trail there except for Evergreen. I would say you can use good skis if you normally use good skis at Baker, there are some sticks that you have to keep an eye out for but other than that it is good. Very good grooming. I forgot how nice that trail is. Hi-ya hi-ya hi-ya.

Really fun to ski at Baker Park again. Conditions were awesome. Everything I skied on was just groomed. My wife Marilyn skied classic about the same time and said the classic tracks were very good.

Enjoyed great conditions at Baker on Monday afternoon. Just a few hard crusty spots where trail crosses the cart paths along the 10th fairway of the golf course or the wind has blown the snow away. 99% of the trails were ideal. Tom in the chalet was very friendly and is looking for more skiers to come out and take advantage of the great conditions.

I skijored the multi-use trail at Baker today and was rather disappointed. Three River's website said it had been groomed but it sure didn't feel like it. The northbound side of the loop was pretty good but the southbound side was very icy. And at the south end of the loop a renegade snowmobiler used the trail as a shortcut to Katrina lake.

Prairie trail has some groomed and decent snow for skating if you're determined to get out. Remaining trials are icy and hills are treacherous at 9am.

Just barely enough to classic around. Baker did not get the 11 inches other parts of the Twin Cities did. It needs much more snow.

Skied Prairie-Hill-Timber backwards to the burned out entry to timber and back on great fast well groomed deck! Likely good Sunday early as well. Normal entry is poor and you have to walk first hill to enter Timber. Island has dodgy downhills and rate it not worth it.

Snow is firm and groomed but there are no classic tracks set. Skied the Fairway trail and it was in fairly good condition for skate skiing, but classic skiers may struggle. A bit thin in some spots - some areas have the asphalt golf cart paths poking through. It's easy to avoid the thin spots though.

Skied the skijor trail at Baker. It was in much better shape than I expected. Yesterday's new snow did wonders. There were a few icy spots on the south bound side of the loop but they were easy to avoid. The northbound side was almost perfect.
