Snow is slushy in some areas with occasional wet spots and a bit icy in other areas. Lots of leaves on the trails and some mud/small twig patches. Pretty windy especially in open areas. A couple small ski lesson groups but overall not bad. Still nice to be able to get out there and ski. (This trail is all man made snow). I skate skied but made note of the classic trails. Some spots the classic trail disappears in the snow but for the majority they seem to be good. Small loop around the pond is closed off but the rest of the trails are open.

At 11:30 start, it was 33 degrees, sunny but windy and trail was in very good condition. I was concerned when I pulled in that the trail around the pond (and the Shoe and portions of the trail leading to it) were closed but Cat Track, Tree loops and Cowabunga were all open and in very good condition. Added plus was a very light crowd. Everybody must be at the Birkie.

Same trail segments that have been open the last two weeks are still open. I appreciate the great grooming. A nice firm deck with the colder weather overnight.

WC trail conditions at BC this morning. A couple dozen kids out with big smiles channeling their inner Jessie and Gus. A short ski pushed my Birkie fever up a few degrees.

Went skate skiing right around sunset and didn't stay long, the slushy areas were fine but some of the spots were extremely hard and icy, difficult to feel like you had any grip. Especially going down the hills.

Another wonderful skiing day. Firm skate deck at 8:30 am with just a little sugar. Classic tracks were fine. a little bit of plant matter here and there but nothing to damage your skis. Enjoy it while it's still here.

Great conditions this morning! Firm and fast deck. Seems like it froze just enough to set up well. 27 degrees at 6am. Many thanks to the trail crew!

Lovely morning for skiing at Battle Creek. The Tree Loops were beautiful, the tracks were set and in great conditon. It wasn't too crowded but there were quite a few people skiing taking avantage of President's Day holiday. The downhill on the north loop was in great condition, the best condition I've seen all year when I've tried it.

Some icy places, but for the most part decent kick until it warmed up. Enchanted Forest loop had a lot of debris - rock skis there!

Fun morning at 7am. A majority of the manmade trails were open and pretty much status quo. No snow guns working and the lake loop was partially closed. The big downhill was open today and at 79 I chose not to risk life and limb trying it. All the turns were hard with minimal berms, good cutting on either inside or outside. My Fischer Skins were just peachy as always. The trail crew as always are doing a fantastic job (a Bjorn Lasserudism) maintaining what we are fortunate still to have.
