Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Classic skied just after 10 AM. The Universal klister worked well. Classic track was still pretty good but softening particularly in the sun where it was also wetter and slower. The skate lane was getting quite mushy and rutted... again in the sunny areas. I was done about 10:45 and wouldn't recommend skiing much later than that.

I had a better day today because no shade/sun issue on downhills! The classic was good and better than expected. Skate looked a little mushy, but skiers seemed to be doing well.

Arrived around 7:00am at Elm. The skate deck is soft and slushy - traversing through mashed potatoes, but doable. More leaf litter throughout the course. Still celebrating every day of skiing we have :).

Very soft and slow snow this morning. I should have stayed in bed. I'll hang up the skis for the next week.

[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
I skated this morning at Elm Creek. When I started about 10am the deck was in good shape, as it got to 11:30am there were a fair number of soft / sugar spots, basically anywhere the sun was hitting. The classic skiers were getting kick, many said they were using klister.

Conditions are pretty good. There are a few soft spots (especially downhill South Donut), but it's all skiable and fun!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skate skied today and it was still pretty good but starting to get mushy in spots with the warm weather both day and night. The classic track looked and felt similar to yesterday so I'm sure the skin skis would've been very good again. Not many skiers out there.

So much better than expected - classic track quite fast but slowing down around 11 am when I left. Skate deck looked very good. Thank you groomers!

I wasn't sure what to expect with the onset of warm weather again. I decided to use skin skis instead of the wax skis which worked well on Tuesday with universal klister. It was the best ski of the season for me. Although not as fast as the tracks would be under ice klister or spring skiing I'd still call it glazed lightning. Great glide and great kick. There wasn't much traffic and the track and skate lane were still firm.

Conditions were very good this morning. Skate deck was great and tracks looked great. I waited for the fog to lift.
