The 2002 Thanksgiving Ski Camp was a huge success this year
due to the great ski conditions of about 10 inches of snow
on the ski trails at Giants Ridge. There were about 60 participants
and 14 coaches and video staff that attended this years camp.
The participants all improved their ski technique with some
hard work and quality coaches who helped teach them both skating
and classical techniques. Friday night the camp offered a
wax clinic sponsored by Toko and a " How to train for the
Birkie clinic" given by Jey Carlson and Larry Meyers. After
two hard days of skiing it was time to celebrate with a banquet
and annual Gear West and Hoigaards Ski Wear Fashion Show.
We ended the camp with an optional relay race in the stadium
ski area with a finale of the coaches relay race!
