North End Ski Club to Offer Masters Clinics

The North End Ski Club in Cable, Wis., will offer a series of cross country ski clinics for adults interested in learning to ski and improving their cross country skiing skills and abilities. Seven sessions of technique, training, and coaching in both classic and skate skiing will be held beginning on November 15 and continuing through February 5.

USSA Certified Level 200 coaches Mike Mandli and Kristen Hanson will conduct the clinics with the assistance of other local coaches.  The first session will include dry land training, goal setting, and making a plan for the season. For this session participants will need ski poles, running shoes, and workout clothes. The November 15 dry land session will take place at the North End Trailhead in Cable at 1:00 pm.

Subsequent on-snow sessions will progress through various ski technique and fitness strategies with the goal of helping participants realize their personal goals.  The on-snow sessions will be held at the OO lighted ski trails at 5:30 PM on Thursday evenings.

A complete schedule and overview of the clinics as well as a registration form may be found at www.norwiski.com/northend.  For additional information, contact Ron Bergin at 715/798-3599 or [email protected].
