Cable Offroad Classic Coverage
May 14, 2011Jay Richards reports: Strong northeast winds, starting temperature of 39 degrees, light rain off and on greeted riders in the Cable Area Off-Road Classic, point to point mountain bike racing from Lakewoods Resort to Cable, WI. After riding most of the race with a pack of six riders, Brendan Moore made an attack in the later parts of the race to solo in for the win in the mens 25 mile race in front of Todd McFadden and Scott Kylander-Johnson. Working with the men en route to a top 20 finish overall, Sara Kylander-Johnson dominated from the get go to take the women title over Dianna-McFadden. Overnight rains made the course wet but not particularly muddy.
