Fischer announces expanded line-up of Birkie Week events

AUBURN, NH -- Fischer has the fix for your Birkie Fever with their line-up of Birkie Week events running from Thursday through Saturday. Events will take place at the expo and on the race course, culminating at the main event’s finish line for the debut of the Fischer Finish Line Fanatics gathering—a group of race fans cheering with a limited edition Fischer cowbell.

“The Birkie is America’s most iconic ski race,” says Fischer’s Nordic Sales Director, Steve Reeder. “We want to support it with as much programming as we can, knowing that the city of Hayward is where thousands of dedicated skiers will be all week.”

Leading up to the event, Kikkan Randall has confirmed her attendance at Fischer’s expo booth where she will be signing her new poster from 4:30-5:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 20. Fischer will also be selling Kikkan’s new neck tube to raise money for Fast and Female and Aktiv against Cancer and will be giving away stickers and athlete cards and will have techs available to answer any product question throughout the duration of the expo, which will run 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday.

In addition to organizing Fischer Finish Line Fanatics on Saturday the brand will be distributing One Way replacement poles on course at the top of Powerline for those competitors unfortunate enough to have broken one early on in the race.
