Golden Eagle Lodge is located on the quiet shores of Flour Lake, only 27 miles up the Gunflint Trail from Grand Marais, Minnesota. As the only resort and resident on Flour Lake, you can look forward to the peace and solitude offered from a true wilderness setting. Golden Eagle Lodge offers 11 modern housekeeping cabins. Situated on the north side of the Central Gunflint Ski Trail System, the cross-county trails can be accessed right outside your cabin.

The cabins at Golden Eagle Lodge are privately spaced and offer many amenities to make your stay more than comfortable, including fully equipped kitchens, modern bathrooms, all bed linens, towels, blankets etc., and a fireplace wood stove or gas fireplace, depending on your choice of cabin. A heated ski waxing room and private use sauna is also available at the lodge building. A ski pass for the Central Gunflint Ski Trail system is available to all guests of Golden Eagle Lodge free of charge during their stay.

The Central Gunflint Ski Trail System offers 70km of meticulously groomed trails and features two PB100 trail groomers. The ski trails glide through breathtaking scenery, offering enjoyable outings for skiers ranging from beginner to expert. With an average snowfall of over 100 inches per winter, quality skiing is consistently available December through March.
