The Organizing Committee of the Central Cross Country Skiing NorAm at Telemark Resort regrets to announce the cancellation of the FIS portion of the races scheduled for Dec 12, 15, 16, 2001. This decision is a result of unpredictably warm weather and the inability to absolutely develop a man made loop by December 12. All race entry fees for FIS competitors will be refunded by check in US dollars to the names and addresses as they appear on entry forms.

The Wednesday, December 12 race is cancelled entirely. However, with the probability of mid-week snow, and the extended opportunity to make snow, the Junior Olympic Qualifier for Midwest and Great Lakes District and the open collegiate and citizen races are still planned to run as scheduled. That final decision will be made and announced on www.cxcskiing.org and www.skinnyski.com Thursday Dec 13 at 8:00 PM.

Registration for the Dec 15, 16 races will be extended to include mail received and on line registration through www.cxcskiing.org until midnight Tuesday, December 11. The weekend entry fees will also be refunded if the races are cancelled.
