Marshall Sprints Trail Update

Welcome Parents and Skiers to the 2017 Marshall Sprints! Marshall School is excited to host this test of the proposed state meet format and we are looking forward to a great day of racing! As you aware we are in the middle of a significant warm up. The Marshall Trails are holding up well and weather permitting we hope to have a great event on Saturday.

In addition to hosting the Marshall Sprints on Saturday, Jan 21 the Marshall Trails are scheduled to host two Junior National Qualifier races next Saturday and Sunday, Jan 28 & 29 To help preserve the course for the 400+ skiers that are racing a week from now I am asking for your help in the following ways.

1. Please access the trail only from the athlete and spectator paths marked on the attached map. The paths to the stadium and Sunbeam will be clearly marked on land as well

2. View the racing action only from the designated spectator areas on the side of Sunbeam and the bleachers on the side of the stadium. From either of these vantage points you can see well over half of the race course.

3. On all other parts of the trail please keep your skis on and don't walk on the trail or the side of the trail. It is very hard to repair damage to the sides of the trail.

4. No skis, poles or waxing equipment inside of the school building.

With your help we can have a fun filled day of racing and make it possible for the athletes next week to have a great course on which to test their skills.

Thank you for partnering with me!
