The Borah Epic Hires Josh Kleve as New Race Director

The Borah Epic is excited to welcome Josh Kleve as it’s new race director. Josh brings close to ten years of experience as the executive director of the Minnesota High School Cycling League, where he helps build strong bodies, minds and character through youth cycling.

“We are so excited to have Josh join the Borah Epic team. His passion for trail development and youth cycling programs makes him the perfect fit for this position, and we’re confident his addition will have a positive impact on the local cycling community,” says Chris Jackson, founder of the Borah Epic.

“Not only is The Borah Epic one of the best mountain bike races in the Midwest, it does so much to support the local riding community. I love that 100% of the profits come full circle and help improve the very trails we race on,” says Josh Kleve. “I’m honored and incredibly stoked to be part of such a fun and important event.”

Coveted spots for the 2021 Borah Epic are filling up fast. As of March 1st, registration is over half full. Event coordinators anticipate a fully booked race for 2021, and encourage any interested riders to sign up soon.

About the Epic

The Borah Epic is a point-to-point mountain bike challenge that takes riders from Hayward to Cable, Wisconsin via miles upon miles of beautiful, forested singletrack. The annual event has raised over $117,000 for the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) and the Chequamegon Area Mountain Bike Association (CAMBA) since its foundation in 2013. This funding has helped CAMBA build and maintain over 100 miles of pristine singletrack trails throughout Northwest Wisconsin.
