Rollerski Criterium on Machinery Hill

Dear Coaches and Athletes !

Mike Delaney who organizes all the Machinery Hill- State Fairgrounds cycling criteriums has worked with the Loppet Foundation to add a Rollerski Crit to the July 12th State Fair Cycling Criterium. Note that we were limited on time, 3pm-5pm- so we only have time for 3 events/categories. See the categories below. The races are designed to be short and tactical so that drafting comes into play. The course is quite flat- approximately 800m in length, so its great spectating.

Rollerski practice will open at 3pm, with the first races starting at 3:20pm. Online registration will open on July 2nd and day of race registration will also be available. Races will be run on matched Swenor Skate Rollerskis.

Note: Masters athletes are welcome. ALL Masters Men must race in the 3:20pm race unless they have a USSA license and less than 300 USSA Points. All Masters Women can race in the 3:55pm race.

The short loop and many corners made it exciting racing last year. Here is video from the Elite Men's race from 2021: 2021 Fairgrounds Rollerski Criterium video
