    • Jan 1 update:
Skiing conditions should very good at the Vasaloppet’s 2020 First Chance Race Saturday. The Vasaloppet ski trails held up remarkably well despite the extended warm weather and last Saturday’s heavy rain. The race begins at 11am at the Vasaloppet Nordic Center. The race offers the choice of 15km (three laps) or 5km. However, because of the early snowfall this year the distances may be increased and the laps reduced. Those details should be known after the Vasaloppet Board meeting on January 2. Registration is available online through Jan. 3 for $20 and also available on Saturday morning. Race registration fee is $30.
