    • Feb 1 - Theodore Wirth South (Minneapolis):
      Afternoon
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
      Firsthand: Freestyle

Recon #2: Coming off Brownie lake, skied over the 394 bridge -- had very good coverage. Skied parts of South Wirth, including some of the freshly groomed sections for the race course (PistenBully was out!). Coverage was good everywhere we skied. Some of the fresh grooming was a little soft, especially for pole plants, and felt guilty for skiing so soon after grooming. The race course layout should be interesting, changes up the direction on some of the trails. Becareful if you ski out there outside of race day, some of those trail segments don't ski well if you go the wrong direction (especially the NE corner of the parkway and 394 intersection)! Again, no problem with good skis.
