• Mar 4 - Soldier Hollow Nordic Center (Midway, UT):
  
  Conditions: Springlike. Race course very firm, mix of snow surface conditions. Recent natural snow mixed in with machine made snow. Upper 30 air temps, brilliant sunshine.
  Arrived to Soldier Hollow this morning for the Junior National races this week and checked out most of the trail system with Bruce. The warm temps and sunshine in the parking lot made it feel like a summer day! The skiing was much better than I expected with a solid, firm deck and very fun skiing.Spring skiing in the mountains is a special time. Overall the race course was in excellent condition. Should be some great racing this week. Maybe a bit tricky on kick waxing with transition from frozen to loose as day goes on. The trails not part of the race course we skied on were a bit soft, especially on the southern exposed but good times exploring this system I have never been on before.
