Thursday's 6 inch snow was groomed and tracked on Friday, then 2 more inches last night added a nice little topcoat to the trails. We had first tracks at 10 am, and refreshed the classic track on many but not all of the trails. We also broke new tracks down the campground road and out to the Kern's Valley overlook. Excellent rustic state park skiing— get out there before it is gone!

Surprisingly good conditions, considering all the rain we had last week. A couple of inches of new snow on top of the old crust, with the main trails groomed. Classic track set on most trails. No bare spots, rocks or debris. As usual, some people walking on the trails, mostly near the parking lots. Overall good conditions.
