Lidenwood was the fourth and final stop in the FM tour. There have been a lot of good reports from here and I was looking forward to checking it out. The tracks were mostly intact but compromised where exposed. There was also a bit of drifting from the strong winds but like all the other places enjoyed the views along the river and a nice end to the day. I ventured out on the river a bit to flirt with skiing on each state line but with the strong sun loosening things up, didn't venture out to far. The skate deck had been recently groomed and looked good.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails re-groomed after six inches of new, fine, cold, wind-blown snow that built up during two days of blizzard conditions on Monday and Tuesday. Reset classical tracks are firm and deep on a solid base. Skating lane packed and re-combed with an inch or two of edging. All trails are a mix of new snow to icy conditions where the wind blew the snow clear to the old icy dirty snow in exposed areas.

Observation
[ Trails Open: All ]
Trails re-groomed early this morning after a half inch of new dry cold snow yesterday morning that was blown around by another ground blizzard ( 64 mph winds in Fargo ). Classical trails renovated and tracks reset - icy, well formed tracks. Skating lane was renovated and re-combed - half inch to an inch of edging. Trails are mostly a mix of icy renovated snow on a hard-packed base with large amounts of blown-in dirt from yesterday mixed in. Spring skiing conditions.

Observation
[ Trails Open: All ]
Trails re-groomed early this morning after an inch of wet snow, followed by above freezing temps and rain midweek. Trails froze overnight after the temps dropped below freezing. Ground blizzard conditions yesterday with a half inch of wind-blown snow that mostly blew free of the ice-covered trails. Trails were renovated this morning to break up the ice. The skating lane now has an inch of snow and renovated ice providing fast conditions and good edging on a rock-solid base. Classical tracks were renovated and re-set. Tracks are fast, firm and well-formed with a few short sections where the track is thin. Trails are a mix of wind-blown new snow with transitioned snow - spring-like skiing conditions. 45 inches of snow for season.

Trails re-groomed early this morning after several days of dustings of snow with ground blizzard conditions. Classical trails were re-set and are deep, firm, and fast. Skating lane was re-combed and is firm with good edging. Fine-grained, wind-blown snow on both trails was mixed with older snow. Wind-blown snow has a slight brown tint from blowing dirt.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails re-groomed Wednesday late morning after several rounds of ground-blizzard conditions earlier in the week. Trails were drifted over in exposed areas with a fine, dry wind-blown snow. Skating lane was re-combed and is firm with good edging. Classical track was firm with deep, well-formed tracks. The wind-blown snow was mixed into the old snow. A short blast of early freezing mist changing to grapple and light snow Thursday morning put a slight glaze on the tracks making them fast but with a decent kick and should limit drifting.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The skate deck was in great shape this evening! Every segment was firm and fast despite the warm temps. There were plenty of walkers out, but I was very pleased to see they respected the trail etiquette signs posted at the trailhead. This was my first time at Lindenwood, and I'll definitely be back. Thank you groomers!
