It doesn't get any better. Combed firm skate deck and fast firm tracks. No ice. Skied part of the green, blue and black this evening. The only downfall is the parking lot. It hasn't been plowed for at least a week. You're fine if you have all wheel drive but if you don't, I would consider parking on the shoulder of the road.

All trails are groomed for skate and classic this evening. Looks great. Can’t wait to get out and ski myself.

Trails groomed this morning, both classic and skate. I skied late this afternoon. I was expecting a wet snow with the warm temps. It was only a little soft because of the two plus inches we received. It was a very pleasant ski. It seems the temps in the low to mid 30s don't seem to affect the snow much if the sun isn't shining. Enjoy.

Trails look very good. Early morning skiing before it gets warm should be ideal. Snowshoe trails are also gorgeous.

All trails are groomed and tracked. The snow has covered up all those pesky leaves for now. Bundle up and enjoy the trails this cold weekend!

Beautiful day grooming today. All trails groomed for skate and track. We groomed in the last few inches of snow we received. We plan to groom again Saturday. Enjoy the trails - they're beautiful.

Beautiful afternoon ski at Balsam Branch. The latest snowfall had not yet been groomed. Probably 2" of snow with just a tiny crusty surface on top. The classic tracks were skied in by one or two people ahead of me and therefore extremely nice. It was a nice pre-sunset ski on Extra Blue!

I skated about half the trails, mostly blues. It's been quite a while since we had snow and the trails were pretty beat up. The skate lane was cupped pretty bad in a few places and a little icy. There was a lot of debris in some places and the classic tracks had a lot of leaves in them, a classic skier I talked to said they were starting to be pretty hard to ski. Thanks volunteers!
