14" Base. We attempted to groom the system on Monday, however, the recent warm weather and now cold has solidified the base to the point our equipment may be damaged. We reassessed the trail today and determined we will need fresh snow to start grooming again. Conditions are good to fair.

Trails looked like they had been used quite a bit over the weekend so the skate lane was hard packed. Classic tracks were in good shape but there was a lot of debris on the trail. May be better now after the couple inches of snow received in the area on Monday night thru Tuesday.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Both
[ Good skis ]
I skate skied the East trail down to the cabin and back to the parking lot on the West trail. Both trails had recently been groomed but the East trail was a bit narrow for good skating. The skate deck was also a little uneven from the track setter. I switched to classic skis and had a much better experience. The classic track was fast with deep firm tracks and good solid pole plants. The Ninemile and Lake Loops had not been groomed since the most recent dusting of snow but conditions were still very good. Overall conditions were very good.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
15" Base. Military, East, West and Ninemile have been groomed and tracked. Devils Run and Lake Loop have not been groomed. Tough grooming conditions as the warmer temps have solidified our base and the surface offers little traction for our groomer. Use caution on these trails as they are extremely icy. Hoping to get some fresh snow to cut in and soften things up a bit.

Fantastic conditions. What a wonderful place - bring birdseed so that you can feed the birds at the shelter from your hands! The Green trails are great for skating and classic.
