Notes

Forested terrain varies from nearly level (Ash Meadow, Camp 22) to mostly rolling (Roller Coaster Run, The Gulch, Pat Shay Trail, Narrow Gauge Loop) to several scattered hills. This trail connects with the Anvil National Recreation Trail.

About 4 inches of fresh snow replenished the trails. The Pat Shay Loop, Narrow Gauge, and Butternut Trail have been groomed and tracks set.

Nicolet North was groomed and tracks were set. The only loops in the Nicolet North system that are maintained are Butternut Trail, Roller Coaster, Tom’s Hill, Pat Shay Loop, and Narrow Gauge.

Grooming on the trails south of Butternut Lake Rd. was fine. However, none of the loop trails north of the road were groomed except the connector to the Anvil Trail system.

Nicolet North trail system was groomed with tracks set throughout. After 6 inches of fresh powder on Wednesday to cover what debris was left from the previous storm, the trail is in great condition.

The trails have finally been cleared from the storm we had a couple weeks ago. There still is small debris throughout the system. All trails were groomed and tracked today after a five inch snowfall on Sunday night.

Trails were rolled and combed after an 8 inch snowfall. Packed base is 4-5 inches. No tracks have been set yet. It is a great time to do some skate skiing!
