14" Base. We attempted to groom the system on Monday, however, the recent warm weather and now cold has solidified the base to the point our equipment may be damaged. We reassessed the trail today and determined we will need fresh snow to start grooming again. Conditions are good to fair.

First time back on Nicolet North in two years and really enjoyed the 3 1/2 hour ski in fron Anvil to Butternut to Pat Shay and back. Nice fresh track and combed surface with some pine needle litter and small twigs from the fierce nighttime wins the last two days. Met up with two oldtimers like me on the way back to Anvil and shared a lot of skiing tips. Lots of people out on this Presidents Weekend!

Beautiful trail and nicely groomed. Unfortunately only one small segment is groomed wide enough for skate. If groomed wider, then I agree it would be skate skier’s paradise.

15” Base. Pat Shay and Narrow Gauge have been groomed with excellent results. No tracks have been set on this system, it’s a skate skiers paradise. Should set up real well overnight but may become soft through warm temps.

10" Base. Early season storms really took a toll on Nicolet North as extensive work was needed to clear windfalls and remove debris from the trail. Today, Pat Shay and Narrow Gauge have been cleared, rolled and combed. Conditions are good. Maintenance will continue tomorrow on this system as the Butternut Trail and Roller Coaster trails will be cleared, rolled and combed. We will try to set track next week and see how it turns out. Thank you for your patience and understanding with this trail system.
