Packed and tracked the 7 km system. Excellent snow white conditions. Firm smooth skate deck. Double tracked most of the open areas. No tracks set in the narrower wooded trail sections. This will probably be our last grooming of the season. Tuesday morning should be ideal conditions!

I skied the trails this evening after grooming the night before, and found my racing ski poles, with smaller baskets, kept punching deeper through the snow due to wind driven snow drifts that were hard to pack down firmly enough. Some trail segments also had quite a few people who walked on the trails in the skate lane. The skate deck is firmer than the tracks on the edges of the trail.

I packed and tracked the entire 7 km trail system, however, the windy conditions during our cold spell created wind-driven snow drifts in some open areas that I just couldn't break through and pack down firmly enough. Thus, ski poles can punch through the snow. I recommend larger ski pole baskets to help avoid punching through. The trail is double tracked in the open areas. The narrower woods trails do not have a track set.

Entire 7 km system packed, rolled, then re-groomed with a double set of tracks set in the open golf course areas. No tracks set in the narrower woods areas. Excellent snow coverage and smooth, firm skate deck. In the open areas, some drifting will no doubt happen due to the wind, If you can brave the cold, come on out!

The entire 7 km system was re-groomed and a double set of tracks were set everywhere except for the narrower woods trails. The trails are in excellent shape. Very good snow coverage in the open areas, thinner in the woods. I kicked up just a little dirt in a few spots on the woods trails - thus a B ski rating. If you are careful, good skis can be used.

What a great ski! The tracks are holding up well and I saw several other people out using them as well. There was enough powder to control speed on some of the bigger hills.

With the fresh roughly 3 inches of new snow, I groomed the 7 km system and set a pair of tracks along side a skate lane in the open areas. I did not set a track in the woods areas. Conditions are very good to excellent. You can use your good skis finally!

We picked up a couple inches of new snow over the last week, so I rolled our entire 7 km system Monday Morning. Though I could not set a track yet, rolling smoothed out the trail pretty well. The open trail sections have good snow cover and clean snow. The woods sections of trail have a few spots of dirt dragged up - which is why I am indicating B skis.

A tale of two cities: trails along the fairways were in adequate shape--full coverage, no recent grooming, plenty of pedestrians have been around, but decent for skating, no classic tracks; pretty thin in the woods with bare spots, varying amounts of debris, best avoided. Nordmarka is a very good choice for an hour or more workout and considering the lack of recent snow is is in good shape. The groomers are to be commended.

I rolled the entire system Friday night. No tracks were set. Except for a few spots in the woods where a bit of dirt mixed in with the snow in the wooded areas, the snow coverage was really excellent. Thankfully only a few folks walked the trails. The skate deck smoothed out pretty well after quite a bit of use the past two days. Overall the trail is in great shape. Can use B skis with care.
