Started rolling/grooming/set track yesterday and again this morning. Most trails in great spring condition. Be careful on Star Wars, Buck Ridge and Hawk Ridge as only one pass was made on these. Squirrel Tails were not rolled or groomed. Some debris on trails, leaves and sticks, should be able to avoid them, the larger debris was removed as I groomed. I anticipate that after the warm weekend we will be using B skis. Will re-groom Friday for the weekend.

Classic skied in the afternoon. The conditions were poor to fair. Trails had not been groomed though there is still plenty of snow with no big bare spots. Additionally, a group of people walked over a considerable part of the trails. It was still fun to ski, but it could have been great. Third time this year I have been to Hoffman where the trails have not been taken care of.

Anyone not at the Birkie should consider Hoffman! Dan and I groomed, tracked and then skied this afternoon. Skate lane was firming up and classic skiers were moving with ease. Skating was not as slow as I thought it would be. Everything is groomed and tracked except for the Plantation trail.

Groomed about half of Hoffman this morning and set new track. A fair amount of corn snow where the sun did it's warm weather work. Tracks vary from ok to very good. Even the dusting of snow predicted on Sunday would be welcomed. Still full coverage, a few thinner spots, some leaf debris. Will finish grooming all by early Saturday morning. Should be a great weekend of skiing at HH. Picture is on Logging Road trail.

All trails groomed between yesterday and this evening with about 50% of them re-tracked. Those not re-tracked are in very good shape. The inch of snow on Wednesday produced very nice results. I skied most trails over the past two days until dark finding that trails were smooth, solid and relatively fast!
