Notes

The trail system consists of approximately fifteen miles of groomed trail and another ten of ungroomed backcountry routes. The more advanced trails are located north and west of Levis on Trow Mound, while intermediate and easy trails lay near the base of Levis Mound. All groomed trails are set with diagonal tracks and a skating lane averaging 12 feet wide. Depending on snow conditions, the trail is generally groomed twice per week. Trail passes are required. Facilities include a new cross-country ski chalet, running water, mens and womens bathrooms.

Excellent skiing conditions! Three straight days of grooming. Best of the year, fun fast. Skied all of the trails over the last couple days, clean track so I used Swix extra blue wax on my classic race skis and it was perfect. Thank you Kevin and Steve. Also fat bike groomed yesterday and in great condition.

The skiing is fine at Levis with a firm base and recently groomed skate deck and classic tracks on the most frequently used trails. Even though Mound Bounder was not recently groomed it was still very skiable.

Great day skiing in the cold weather. The inch of fresh snow over the groomed deck made for some slower skiing that made it easier to enjoy the beautiful trail.

Skied this morning from about 8:00 to about 10:00. Trails hadn’t been groomed for 1-2 days, but I stayed mostly on top of the fresh snow. Six below made for some slower snow, but also meant nobody else was on the trails.

Great grooming on about 7 inches of new snow. In spite of the frigid temperatures I found the classical tracks to be solid, fast enough for double poling, and grippy enough for secure climbing.

Kudos to our groomers for getting skiing and fat biking in very good conditions considering the small amounts of snowfalls this winter. Classic and skated the whole system the last couple days great skiing felt like spring skiing with temperatures right around 30°. Wolves have been dancing out around Trow and running Wolf run fat bike trail.

Trails are definitely refreshed with the weekend light snow. Conditions were soft as expected but the middle of the trail where the overlap passes were was fairly firm. Couple spots where there just isn't enough good coverage so the trail is far from level. Good skis are okay for skating, couple sticks but easy to see and avoid. I'd rate the classic tracks as rock skis - numerous places with minimal snow cover and sticks poking through. Given the amount of snow, not bad at all - good to be out.

Conditions best of the year kudos to the groomers. Classic track was good have to be a little careful in some areas that are thin. Skate lane was creamy fresh new cord. Really enjoyed using my new skin skis, good kick, great glide.

Trail groomed on Monday still thin base with some cord and good sections. Still too thin for track settings, skating decent with some uneven spots. Recommend your B skis. Fat biking good, trails getting ridden in. No grooming necessary.

The trails are groomed and kind of covered, but I would compare it to a paint primer which now needs to have a good cover of actual paint. The conditions were icy, so I only skied the flats.
