2018-2019 season

Trails are totally trashed. Stay away if you are looking for an enjoyable ski, but the trails are technically open if you want to struggle during every minute of your outing. I am somewhat a novice, so maybe more experienced skiers wouldn't have as rough a time as I did. Trails have not been groomed since two latest snow events. Some leftover debris from last week's windstorm and many areas with snow/ice laden branches that needed to be ducked under. Lots of ruts/tracks/bumps where crews were out removing large debris.

The skating loop has been extended to a figure 8, at least doubling the length. Conditions could not have been better. I double poled a bit of the classic trail, which was also excellent.

Skied the Wells this afternoon. The trails are still double-tracked from the big snowfall earlier in the week. Only in a few technical areas have the tracks (only one set ever) been wiped out by skiers. Overall, the system is still in very good shape, with manageable oak leaf debris.

Just skied the Wells from Barbara's Lane end. Just skied that half of the loop. Everything was groomed and double-tracked. Very lovely. Thanks, County! However, oak-leaf/pine-needle debris was perhaps worse than usual. Not an issue, really. They also groomed a loop all the way to the end of Maria Drive, so you can park at the turn-around there and avoid that 100-yard ungroomed section at the usual entrance. Thanks, again, County!

Trails have been packed and no track has been set. There are icy areas underneath the snow, just watch the hills.
