These single-track classic ski trails are at the University of Minnesota Cloquet Forestry Center. They follow field roads through the forest research plots, some through towering stands of mature pines, others through younger plantings, and others through aspen, overall very pretty, and almost flat. The snow on Friday was deep and the tracks were solid and firm. About 10 K are being groomed this year. My only complaint is that signage was lacking, so we took a wrong turn and went further than planned, which wasn't really a problem except it was getting dark.
