Trail Detail
Notes
Travels through the park and campground. A shorter trail, great for beginners and those who are looking for a quick and easy spot to ski. The trail does vary a bit from year to year in its exact location, but always provides a beautiful view of the La Crosse River as you travel through the campground.Trail Reports

I have made my own trails in the back of Vets for years, so I was happy to see a report of groomed trails. I skied a big loop from the middle parking lot to the maintenance shop, over to the dog park and the back lot, then through the campground along the river to the pond below Hwy 16 and back to parking. Tracks were set for classic and it was great to get on them today. There is some small debris in places and I pulled a couple larger branches and tossed them. No big deal. There are places where people have walked in the tracks and a couple spots where critters have messed around, but still quite skiable. I very much appreciate groomed trails this close to home!

Grooming [ Trails Open: All, ]

Trails are groomed and tracks set for classic skiing. There are a few test loops within the park, just in case users were wondering why the tracks look odd in one of the fields. The snow base is a few inches deep, and the tracks set well with the current temperatures.
