Skied the perimeter and one internal loop. While the track itself was in reasonable shape, conditions were not good. The tracks and trails are covered with way too much tree liter, branches and pine needles. Every 50-100 feet stopping to remove branches from the track. Best to avoid this until we get some new snow.

Within the last day or two the Babbitt Ski club re-tracked the entire trail system. Excellent condition-and surprisingly deep tracks! Double track to the Campground by the lake. (I didnt go far enough to see if a new track down to the lake fixed the prior errant snowmobile trail.

All trails remain in very good condition with the exception of the downhill portion of the Birch Lake loop (heading to the picnic grounds). Some errant snowmobilers ran over the tracks on the downhill run.

The Babbitt Ski club again did a great job re-tracking all the trails including double tracks down to the Birch Lake beach and launch area. Tuesday afternoon the skiing was good but chilly (single digit below zero). Little to no wind in the trees. The previously reported pine needle debris was buried by the renewed tracks and the dusting of snow. The tracks were not as deep as usual but as good as possible with the available snow.

Thanks again to the Babbitt Ski Club for track setting again (a few days ago). All of the trails were in good condition, only a bit more pine needles littering the trails. Double track down to the Lake/Beach area. As always, little to no wind in the plantation!

All trails were in surprisingly good shape after the recent ice and wind events. On a few open stretches the high wind blew snow off of a few trail high spots. Otherwise the thin ice crunch wasn't a problem as it was covered by 1/2 inch of fresher snow.

The Babbitt Ski Club set nice tracks on all of the trails—including the one mile each way trail to Birch Lake/the city park. Yea!

All of the trails were rolled last week-great start.(Thanks Babbitt ski club!) I snowshoed the trails yesterday for further packing. Made classic tracks on all the trails today. Not many rocks or roots.
