Trails had been freshly tilled and groomed, and had set up hard in the morning cold. As morning progressed into early afternoon, the trail softened, with excellent edging. By mid-afternoon, areas in full sun were slowing, but areas in shade were still quite firm. Full-depth tracks throughout. Trail mostly clean, with some tree litter in areas under heavy tree cover. A wonderful ski!

Decent skating in the afternoon. Some debris on the forested trails, and grooming is getting challenging, so there was a ridge down the middle of some trails.

Conditions were perfect! Skating was fast and some trails barely had any skiers on them into the afternoon.

All trails are open. The base is 3-4", but is very, very solid. No problem using your good skis. Classic tracks are set on 2km and are in good shape.

Skied Nara and the Core trails. Nara was still pretty rough. Some ice and bare ground and soft. Core trails were better. Swedetown is much faster. Great to be out!
