Groomed for the last time this season. The east half of whispering pines, deep woods, and the connecting trails. Skating deck and classical track. Some trees and brances are down on the trail. Thanks everyone for a great season.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
I skied all of the trail system, except for Finland, which is still closed due to drifting. The skate deck was very firm and fast, more icy than on Monday. A light dusting of snow made conditions slightly better. Areas with ski traffic during warmer weather had a lot of ruts. Still okay conditions for this late in the year and better than not skiing.

[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
I skied all of the trail system, except for Finland, which is still closed due to drifting. The skate deck was very firm and fast, slightly glazed and just short of icy. Areas with sun exposure were softer and other areas had a lot of ruts. Still nice conditions for this late in the year.

Mixed condition, but overall pleasant skiing. We started skiing at 11 a.m. with temperatures of 34F. Skate deck was moist underneath, with a slight glaze on top. Glaze seemed to be more obvious on residual corduroy. Somewhat warmer temperatures when we finished at 12:30 pm. Not super fast, but nice to be skiing this later in the season.

Afternoon

[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Conditions continue to be very good. Again there are two short sections due to drifting that are in poor share. I finished at 1:15 and the sun was starting to soften the surface snow in the open areas. Still great spring skiing.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Trails groomed this morning. Most of the trails are in very good shape for both skate and classic. One or two spots had drifting problems (very short).

Grooming

The trails groomed very well this morning. It was a beautiful day in the woods. Everything has a new skating deck and a set of classic tracks. Finland and upper lit trail is still closed. Enjoy.

We started skiing as the snow was falling, and despite the warm temperatures (hi 20s) the snow wasn't very wet. Probably about 1-1.5 inches of new snow over a firm skate deck. There are some softer patches where I was punching through with the poles. Not super fast today, but nice nevertheless.

I checked out all of the trails and everything is nicely groomed, except Finland, which is still closed because of drifting. The skate deck was firm and fast, with a few soft/deep spots and drifting. There were also some soft spots in sun-kissed areas. Excellent skiing for the end of March!

Newly groomed – I had nearly pristine corduroy this morning (11 a.m.). Temperatures were in mid-teens, and skate deck was firm and fairly fast except for a very few short (5 m?) patches where drifted snow had clearly accumulated to some thickness. In these, my pole were punching through about 12-15 inches. Otherwise quite good skiing. Classical tracks looked to be in very good condition. Finland and the "upper lit trail" were not groomed. Didn't make it over and up to Deep Woods so I cannot comment on grooming there.
