[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trail is in excellent condition I want to give Finlandia racers the scoop on what we've been up to. We ran a complete 25 k Pisten Bulley pass-through on Sunday to further flatten and compact our base, followed last night by another full 25k run of the course with 4 Ginzu groomers. What we've got now is a massively wide and highway smooth race course. Today we are receiving another bout of high moisture snow that should really add some zip and speed. After the wind and precip subside we're going to re-groom and trackset everything. These trail and weather conditions are incredible and we are looking forward to a beautiful snow flocked race through the northern woods. Waxing should be simple with colder hard waxes and start green for glide. See you at the start line Saturday! Looks to be about 5-10F for the start.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The Buena Vista trail system got a complete Pisten Bulley tune up Sunday, working through all 25km of trail following the 15" of fresh snow received last week. This pass through leveled and packed the course as well as dealt with the significant snow drifts that built up on the East side trails. Grooming and tracksetting will take place during the week in preparation for Minnesota Finlandia but at this time you can expect fresh, cold, machine groomed snow and superb classic track.

The entire west side of Buena Vista is in fantastic shape. Groomed perfectly for the Bemidji School race, both skate and classic.

[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
West side 5k has been rolled and ginzu groomed, filled the tunnel with 10" packed snow, then went out to ski. Surprisingly good skating, no classic track in yet. We received about 9-10 inches of weekend snow - trails look fantastic!
