Had another nice ski at Spidahl l. There were lots of cars in the lot, and the track seems to have mostly survived the strange weather of last week. There was a think coating of snow over some icy parts in the open areas, but they were easily skiable. Things in the woods were great! I skied Chick’s Bop (twice), Emma’s, Speedy’s, and Uff Dah. Really fun trails! Fun to see the MYSL kids out too!

[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Rang in the new year with a beautiful ski at Spidahl! Almost everything is open and groomed. Good coverage everywhere I skied but for one tiny spot of grass at the top of one hill. The ups and downs make for a pretty challenging course, and my fitness from laps at Wirth was tested! Skied Skibee, Chick’s Bop, Uffdah, and Speedy’s. Deck was slightly soft on everything except Speedy’s which was firm and fast. Thanks to Dave and Cindy for making this regional gem available to the rest of us!!

Made it out to Spidahl’s for the first time this season. Overall really nice but variable conditions throughout. The wind had scoured off a lot of the snow in the open areas, so fair amount of grass showing through in some areas. The wooded sections, though, had good coverage throughout. I skied Emma’s, Speedy, and Chick’s Bop. Had a great time!
