Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Stearns County area received 4.5 inches of snow. The ski trails had previously been packed so the new snow was great to work with. Groomers were out on Monday and the conditions were excellent. However, the wind was blowing leaves and branches and causing drifting snow in spots, so the official condition is good. All trails are groomed with two classic tracks. There are over 5K of trails with various difficulties.

Observation
There is not enough snow for adequate skiing. Trails are ice covered with some bare spots. Rock skis are suggested.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
I skied classic. First time at park but it looked like everything was groomed that was supposed to. There were spots without tracks and a few spots with rocks, leaves, etc, in tracks so I just went out of them. My daughter skated and it was a little soft but ok, sticks and leaves in some spots. Good enough to get out for the first time but not sure how long it will last.

Lots of walking on the trails with the little snow that the county has received. Snow is still in the forecast.
