Skate deck was freshly groomed this morning and it was great. It was just starting to get a bit sticky in the sun when finished at 11, but it was still very good. The tracks looked good/decent - a bit shallow and some leaves, but skiable.

North, South and Highland/Lowland Loops were in excellent condition. It was 26 degrees and sunny. I used FastWax Red LF. Serendipity had me arriving after recent grooming before this weekends warm-up. Conditions were probably the fastest I've experienced here. Shallow but loose corduroy with decent bite and great glide. Only downsides were: 1) the little ice balls on the trail surface after the Highland/Lowland Lake Loop, and 2) a really cold north wind that caused me to stop once to put on a windbreaker and again later to change from light wicking glove liners to wool ones. 10 miles nonstop on this trail is a long way for me. So my pace dropped off on the later part of mile 8. But I recovered it on mile 9 to conclude a great skate. This is a great trail with some of the most beautiful scenery you will find. Can't say enough good things about it including its excellent groomers.

Grooming

Ski Trail: Skate lane was groomed tonight. It groomed up really, really good. Tracks are very hard but have some fresh snow in them so they were left alone. Fatbike Trail: No grooming but trail looked great. It does look like it was a bit icy compared to yesterday so studs are recommended.

I skate skied all trails but the south 5 km. Some leaves and debris on the trails generally a good skate deck, classic track was good with leaves and debris. Temperatures mid 30-35 degrees, snow clumps in your hand.

Skate Lane was freshened up tonight. Tracks were in good shape, just some leaf debris as expected this time of year so they were left alone. Enjoy!

Skied on fresh corduroy this morning. It was excellent and the track and the fat bike trails looked great too. There are some leaves that got turned up. But there is a bigger concern. There were some skiers out there who appeared to be sick. I don't think it's the corono virus. Probably more like... Birkie Fever. (Sorry, I just had to do that).

Skate deck was groomed flat as a pancake Wednesday night, classic track was hit or miss with an inch of fresh snow in it. The groomer was having problems with the ginzou and plan to try to set track tonight.

Great skate skiing. Firm enough and fast enough to feel like you are going to crash, but just enough edge control that you don't. The groomers were headed out just as as I finished skiing so it should be excellent tomorrow. They were even resetting the track.
