Notes

The trail is located about two blocks West of Hwy 169 on Bass Lake Rd. Overall this is a nice little gem. The terrain is very gentle and seems an ideal place for a family with small children or beginner skiers.

Not groomed as of this morning. Still ski-able, but a workout. Arrived at 9am and left at 10am. Would not recommend skate skis today.

I guess it was fun while it lasted. Eagle Lake is basically a sheet of ice with a dusting of windblown snow intermittently. I just skied around at the beginning of the loop, found out it sucked, then left. Maybe it's fine for classic skiing? I guess it's back to man-made snow for now.

Trails were freshly rolled today and the sun was out! Snow was good but getting slower and stickier. There was one thin spot but easily avoided. Some debris in the short narrow, wooded section of the trail. Overall, a great day to be out on skis, soaking up that sunshine!

I only skied the Lake Trail, but was pleasantly surprised to find good conditions! Snow was not icy, with full coverage throughout. Did not look recently groomed. There was minimal debris on the trail except for the one narrow section through the woods. That section had moderate debris, but that section is very short and debris can be avoided for the most part. I only have good skis and they were fine on this trail. Perfectionists may prefer to use B skis. Classic tracks looked fair (shallow) with some areas of washout, what I could see.

Skied Pike Lake and Eagle lake trails. The dusting of snow on Friday helped touch up the classic tracks. Track is pretty thin in the woods but snow coverage is good. No debris of concern. I also made a track around Birdie course so covered about 3.4 miles.

Skied both Pike Lake and Eagle Lake trails. Good to very good condition. Thin track in the woods by Pike Lake but little to no debris to slow you down.

For natural snow the skating deck was impressive. There are a half dozen small spots on the fairways that have grass poking through, all easily avoidable. In the wooded areas there is a bit more of duff in the areas where the trail passes through the woods. The lesson loops were perfect. Excellent place to just skate loop. The parking lot was empty when I got there, had the park all to myself.

Skied both the Pike and Eagle loops. Trails are packed. There is a skied in track on +50% of the trail. Grass sticking through the snow in a couple isolated places. Great skiing!
