Notes

The trail is located about two blocks West of Hwy 169 on Bass Lake Rd. Overall this is a nice little gem. The terrain is very gentle and seems an ideal place for a family with small children or beginner skiers.

Skijored this afternoon and it seems as if trails have not been groomed in a few days. Classic tracks are visible but very soft. The skate deck looks like it never existed, but for skiing mid March it's not horrible.

Tracks were good but skate deck was a little rough today. I didn't see any skiers and I was the first to ski since it was groomed yesterday. Snow was a little slow, grip was very good, and conditions were forgiving.

Freshly groomed, but classic tracks were intermittent. Still nice skiing because the skis tracked fine in the sun-softened snow. Very little leaf debris. Short trails but I was there on a volunteer assignment to capture 360° timelapse images of all ski trails for Three Rivers Parks.

The snow was nice, and a bit soft but there were a lot of boot prints on the trail! Pretty messy in general, so it was slow going but still enjoyable on this beautiful day! Will be so nice, once it's groomed again.

The classic tracks at Eagle Lake are slightly icy and shallow. It would've been a better ski if the tracks were set deeper.

Classic skied the Pike Loop for the first time this afternoon. The trails were tracked but quite shallow in some spots. It appears it may have been a while since the last grooming as there, in the wooded sections, many spots littered with bark, twigs, leaves, and other debris. Otherwise, given the day's abundance of sun and mild temperatures, it was a wonderful day for skiing.

Eagle seemed to be groomed today or last night and there was little sign of use. The classic trails were shallow but you could follow them and get decent kick. Don't skip the practice area, it is in great shape.

Good conditions, some leaves and animal droppings but 95% good. Some footprints despite signs stating skiing only. Tracks mostly well set but could use grooming in some spots like bottom of hills with curves as expected. Freestyle was also in good condition. I did both trails and logged 2.82 miles on Strava and will come back. This is an easy trail, winding thru open areas on the golf course as well as thru wooded paths.

We had a good ski at Eagle this morning. The Eagle Lake Trail had a nice track, a little shallow at times, but still good. The skate deck was a slightly uneven, but not bad. The Pike Lake Trail through the woods near the lake reminded us of the old single track trails.

Skated around Eagle Lake trail multiple times. It was a lot of fun; the trail was in great shape. It looked like it had been groomed relatively recently. The snow was pretty firm, at least compared to how soft it can be at times on this trail. There was a little bit of grooming rutting but it was pretty ignorable, and nothing that actually caused problems. No footprints or evidence of people walking their dogs on the trail. Minimal tree debris. The classic tracks looked pretty good overall; maybe a bit shallow in some places but not wiped out or anything.
