Notes

Nearly level trail through densely wooded flood plain. This trail is one of the best in Iowa because of the protection afforded by the dense tree cover. Trail is groomed for classic and skating on Fridays by local enthusiasts.

it was rolled, but we only had about 4" of snow, so that didn't work well at all. Trail is especially bad on the multi-user, overused prairie loop, and on east and northeast outer loops, where the city added new water pump station and lines last summer. You can trudge along in the woods and enjoy being outdoors, but basically - pretty terrible condition. I even felt sorry for my rock skis!
