Drove up to the Sawbill Trail to get in one last ski for the season. Skied at Sugarbush in a beautiful snowfall that lasted about 6 hours. Skied for three hours and had about 3-4 inches of new snow. So different from Saturday’s perfect corduroy. Wonderful place to ski. Picnic trail has some great hills. We saw about 15 people out skiing. Lots of snow left up on the North Shore.

Classied skied from Oberg trailhead, the connector to homestead then hogback and back. It was snowing hard all during the afternoon and 5 inches of snow had accumulated at higher elevations and 3 inches on lower elevations. Snow seemed light even though temps were in the high 20's, and lots of people were skating thru the new snow. Classic tracks were mostly skier tracked and my skins were working excellently. Winter keeps happening here and the Pisten Bully is out again tonight!

Mint condition with a Superior sunrise! With -7 temp when I started before sunrise, I practiced the optimal social distancing as I didn’t see another skier for my entire 2 hr ski. Sugarbush had perfect grooming. I classic skied in fast but not icy tracks. The skate deck was solid from the piston bully grooming.

Fabulous day at Sugarbush. Skated around the Moose Fence loops then down to Picnic Ridge and back to Britain Peak. Grooming was immaculate although Moose Fence and Connector were a little softer and not quite as fast as the Picnic Loop. The only thing more abundant than the snow was the immense grins on all the faces I passed. Never seen so many people on the trails, all keeping an appropriate social distance as we passed. Great Spring day with high 20's temps and clear blue skies.

Absolutely spectacular. Perfect, fresh PistenBully groomed skate deck and classic tracks on all trails. Deep, firm base with lots of snow in the woods. Blue skies, no wind, 30 degrees early afternoon after single digits this morning. Skied about 50km with almost no back-tracking. Lots of happy skiers enjoying the day.

Skated the Onion River Road and West Oberg today after groomer had been through. It was nice to be on skate skis after 2 days of relatively slow classic skiing in fresh snow. Looking forward to tomorrow with full set of freshly groomed trails!

Classic skied the Picnic Loop from Oberg Trailhead. Broke trail thru 4+ inches of wet snow with temps around 35. Going was very slow but now there is skier made tracks around most of the system as every junction past the Picnic loop appeared to have been skied and I broke what wasn't. Should be faster now especially as temps drop.

Classic skied homestead and hogback from briton peak trailhead. There is about 2 inches of fresh but somewhat wet snow that is skier groomed in the tracks and a bit chopped up on the skate deck. Classic tracks were great, but somewhat glazed on the uphills. I used skins with moveable bindings in the forward position and it worked great. An abundance of fresh clean snow and still great classic skiing. Stay Healthy, Stay Active, Social Distance Outside on Skis!

With a new 1.5 inches of snow atop a firm skate deck and set classic tracks, we had excellent skating and fine classic skiing on the Carlton Peak Summit Trail. The new snow was beautiful and didn't slow things down too much. Several groups were doing the Homestead and Bridge Loops but we were the first to cut tracks through the powder on the Carlton Peak trails. Snow depth is great and should last for a while yet.

Skied sugarbush system Saturday and Sunday. Absolutely fantastic! Deep tracks, skins working well. Plenty of snow. Hats off to the groomers.
