Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Skate skied from the golf course to the Old 32 lot. Temperature was 33 degrees at the start and 37 at the finish, which was warm enough to soften the hard base but not too soft. A nice ski on a sunny day!

Grooming

Groomed the Golf Course and to the Old 32 parking lot via the green trail and out to 9K. We groomed in the 2-3 inches of new snow and set tracks. Trail is in good condition.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed complete system. All trails single tracked with golf course (not including the hills) to old 32 parking lot double tracked. I would say trail conditions are good. If you should start your ski at the golf course, conditions will improve when you hit the woods. One note: the 2 K gold loop on the far north end along with the parking lot and entrance there are closed.

Best skiing conditions of the year for me. The tracks were firm and flawless every where. Skate lane was perfect as well. Thanks to the groomers!

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skated from golf course to Sullivan Springs Road (11.5 K). Only groomed through the 7K marker. The groomed portion was excellent: wide, flat, and solid. Approximately 1 inch of new snow accumulated on the ungroomed portion of the trail. Excellent classic tracks were visible, generally on both sides of the trail. Pay the trail fee; maintenance creates overhead.

Complete system with exception of the 2K gold loop has been Piston Bully groomed. Trail is single tracked except the golf course to old 32 parking lot where most of the trail is double tracked. The far north parking lot on county F and entry to trail there is closed. Trail looks great.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skated 6-19k segments. Trail level and 1" new snow on top of recent grooming. Firm pole plants, wide skate deck, no ruts. Classic tracks appeared very good: deep, well formed, and no ice. Caution: large tree overhanging trail at 45 degree angle near 17k marker.

Thanks to report by groomers yesterday, we made the trip to Lakewood today. Great ski from Old 32 parking lot to Sullivan springs and back. Great ski! It is a bit chattery on the downhill sections but you can get enough edge in to slow down. The tracks are nearly full depth and not icy except for the first shortcut which was not retracked. Skate skiers appeared to have a fast lane. Lots of smiles!
