Phil took PB and tilled all skating lanes. Fantastic buttery feel and fast. We were finishing up as he was setting tracks. Come and get it.

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
All trails had been power tilled, so the skate deck was very nice. Only a few icy patches. I was able to good a good edge on all the trails I skied (green, blue, purple, and portion of the black - Field of Dreams, Locust Loop, and the Pines Loop). Classic track was present and appeared to have some icy stretches. Come tomorrow for Ski the Trails Backwards Day. It's like a whole different trail system with new challenges.

Mixed bag. Skated green, purple, field, and blue. Mostly great, few icy spots, trails burning out in a few spots. Tomorrow is our ski backwards (reverse direction) 9-3. BYOB. I dug out fire pit, Phil and I hauled the grill up. Come and get it. Snow isn't going to last long.

Skied all trails at Iola this morning. Everything had been recently groomed and in great shape! The trails were fast, but since grooming had occurred earlier this morning, you could easily get an edge. There were only a handful of areas where there was thin layer of snow over ice. I used my good skis, but due to the recent weather there is debris on the trails (leaves, pine needles, sticks, etc.). I don't regret using my good skis, but wanted that noted for others who may then choose B skis. Thank you to the groomers for a wonderful ski! Thank you to Iola for such a great place to enjoy the outdoors.

Arrived early this morning to freshly groomed perfect skate lanes, so Joanie and I skated the blue, green, and purple trails We then strided the advanced black trail, which had been tracked Friday and had a couple inches of powder from last night's snow. We still had a good glide in the tracks and used the skate lanes for steeper descents. Thanks for the great early morning grooming!

All main trails and connectors have been groomed. Classic tracks have been set. Skate deck is soft as would be expected. If you're not skiing Birkie get out there and get the goods while you can!
